SABE
Self Advocates Becoming Empowered
Meets online the second Wednesday of the month
Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE) of Boulder & Broomfield Counties is part of a national self advocacy group. SABE started because people with intellectual and developmental disabilities were isolated and segregated, and our voices were not being heard.
Join us to:
Share stories and get to know other self advocates
Hear about community resources
Figure out how systems work
Learn about advocating for yourself
Meet self advocates from across the state at quarterly meetings
Work with legislators & agencies
About SABE Meetings:
SABE members meet on the second Wednesday of every month to talk about issues, rights, benefits, and fundraising. Together we brainstorm ideas, learn about the system from guest speakers, and educate decision-makers. Advisors support this work. Read here about our current advisor, Bobbi.
