Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE)
Third Thursdays of the Month
We are a group of adults with IDD who come together to advocate for ourselves and others who have IDD. Our goal is to raise awareness of the contributions people with IDD make to their communities and to have a positive impact on the lives of people with IDD and their communities through local and state level advocacy and outreach.
Our mission is to ensure that people with disabilities are treated as equals and that they are given the same decisions, choices, rights, responsibilities, and chances to speak up to empower themselves; opportunities to make new friends; and to learn from their mistakes.
