Director of
Member Services |
Ailsa provides information and
counsel to members and gathers information on a variety of services
and topics that may be of interest to members. Ailsa also schedules
training events and discussion groups on contemporary issues for the
membership. Ailsa provides some advocacy for families with children
receiving special education services.

Debra Fitzgibbons Senior Advocate, Children |
Debra has a private
counseling practice and works part-time at the ACL as an advocate
for children receiving special education services. She works
through the complexities in the communication among children,
families and professional staff, to achieve outcomes of benefit to
the children and their education.

Nicole Newsom
Director of
Activities |
Nicole welcomes volunteers and participants to the growing list
of activities offered every month at the ACL. She is interested
in matching volunteer talents and interests with the preferences
of those who want to do interesting things. Call her to talk

Carrie Scislowicz

Carrie is an attorney
on inactive status with the Colorado Bar Association. She listens
for the voice and choices of those who are sometimes not heard and
supports their presence in meetings and daily life.

Education Advocate |
Robin works part-time as an advocate
for children receiving special education services.

Michael
Breeskin
Attorney |
Michael is an attorney with the Arc
of Denver Legal Services Program, supports ACL staff in review of
various legal perspectives or questions that become part of the
daily challenges in their work. Michael has been an attorney for
more than thirty years, and is especially familiar with disability
and special education law.
